Question: Hydrocodone for cough suppression?
Hi, I have a very dry hacking cough where I can't even walk from one room to another without getting out of breath and coughing and gasping for air. When I take a deep breath in I start coughing. I have hydrocondone/acetaminophen 7.5/750 will this work as a cough suppressant? Please don't say go to the doctor I am looking for something to relieve my cough right now. Also can hydrocodone be cut in a half? Thanks

I'm not sure whether it would work and though you don't want people telling you to see a doctor you shouldn't take it without consulting one.
My advice would be to call your family doctor and ask. There is nothing wrong with doing this and they'd be happy to help. If you don't have a doctor or can't reach them then call a walk-in-clinic or any doctor's office. They'd be able to help you and then you'd know for sure whether taking it would help.
