Does an Xray Tech who works in the Cardiac Cath Lab have to be ACLS certified?

Or do you have to be a nurse to become ACLS certified??

Answers:

Check with your hospitals education department. They will have policies about who needs ACLS. Judging by your department, it would probably be a good idea. You don't have to be a nurse to become certified. I got certified and I am a pharmacist.
