Whats the side effects. Anything contageous? What about sex is that ok?
My husband needs his MMR vaccine his mom didnt get him vaccinated as a kid for personal/religious reason, so to go get his degree at the community college they're requiring proof for all students.

nothing contagious from it. Its possible he already had the measles, mumps and rubella when he was younger if he was never vaccinated.
If he doesn't want to get the shot now he doesn't have to. You can still refuse even as an adult based on religious grounds, the only downside is that if there is an outbreak of measles in your community the school would then bar him from classes until the outbreak was over.
The other thing to consider is that rubella can cause severe damage to unborn babies so if your husband contracts rubella and then spreads it to a pregnant woman that hasn't been vaccinated he should ask himself if he can live with the damage he has done to her unborn child.
