Does anyone have a Freckle inside their Eye?!

Question:

Does anyone have a Freckle inside their Eye?

I just got back from an eye appointment. I haven't been to see the eye doctor in about seven years. I was told that I have a Freckle in my left eye. That this is nothing to worry about and that its very similar to having a freckle on your skin. That 5 percent of the population actually has it and that could mean millions of people actually. So I'm curious if anyone else out there has this same thing and how long they have had it and how has it effected them. I do know that if It turns into a bump it could become cancerious but was assured that that's Highly unlikely. I'm not sure what the correct medical term is for this and would like to know that since I don't remember what the doctor called it.

This type of freckle you can't see with the eye. Its behind the iris I believe and its a gray area that they call a "freckle"

Answers:

Yes I do. I found out about seven years ago and it is also in my left eye . Its not something you can see by looking in a mirror , and does effect my vision where if I close my right eye and just look out of my left eye my vision is a little distorted . I can see but the eye chart or words I read the letters appear and disappear. The doctor said he could remove it ,but the scar it would leave would be about the same size as the freckle . Have your Doctor monitor it about every six months to see if it stays the same or gets larger
