Do you have to throw away your shoes or socks after having a plantars wart? Some!

Question:

Do you have to throw away your shoes or socks after having a plantars wart? Someone in my family has one and I

was wondering if she should throw away the shoes to prevent being re-infected? Can something like that spread? It's not the typical noticeable kind (in my opinion) It's just one tiny area on bottom of foot with a tiny black dot and soreness- other than that it's not even noticeable. Thanks!

Answers:

you shouldn't have too, especially the shoes if the person was wearing socks. If you want to be extra sure with the socks, wash them with bleach.
