My nose was stuffed for the last 2 years so I didn't know that far the average human could smell over two feet away :P

Humidifier adds moisture to the air and a dehumidifier removes moisture from the air. Which one you would benefit from depends on what is causing your stuffing nose.
The humidity of your environment should be around 40%. If it lower than this a humidifier could be used. However, if it greater than this than use a humidifier.
I would recommend seeing a doctor to find the cause of your stuffiness. Once you know the cause you will be more able to find a solution.
