Is this still Shingles I am dealing with?
I have been dealing with shingles for a little over a month and there are now severe inflamed lumps in my under arm and one on my hip. I have had shingles before and have looked at images online and have not seen anything like this from shingles (these lumps are each about 1/2 to one inch in size, are red, hot and stick out significantly). I think it's serious but I tried consulting a doctor and he didn't even know what shingles are (I am currently living in West Africa). Please help me figure something out.

It sounds to me like a risen or boil. They are caused by clogged sweat glands or in grown hairs. And occur mostly underneath your armpits and/or in your groin area. Apply warm compress several times a day, until it comes to a head and pop it!!(it will be painful). If it doesn't come to a head after a few days. Go to the doctor, so that you can have it lanced.
