Does my girlfriend have a cold sore?!

Question: Does my girlfriend have a cold sore?
So two or three days ago, my girlfriend was outside in the cold and her lip split by the corner of her mouth. The following day, the cut had disappeared but she started to develop a bump. Eventually she said that it hurt to just touch it. She also says her nodes by her neck (the ones under the jaw that are close to the neck that doctors feel to see if they're swollen when you go for a check up) are sore. Well, she says only one of them is sore. Now I know cold sores can cause sore throats, fevers, and swollen lymph nodes. She hasn't had a fever, and she doesn't necessarily have a sore throat, but her one node hurts. And it's not her tonsils, we made sure. It's also not a blister like a cold sore is and it isn't oozing anything. But it is crusty and a bit lighter colored. It resembles a pimple that you've been messing with and you've popped it numerous times and now it just hurts and it's crusting over from the pus. For reference, I have a picture she sent me. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c18/yo… It looks like a cold sore, but it only has a few of the symptoms. It's not oozing (so she says) and it appeared right after she got a cut, so we're just hoping it got infected and her node is swollen because it's trying to fight off the infection. Help!!!!?!?!?!?!?

Answers:

take L-lysine... if it goes away it was a cold sore... but at least she knows what to do every time she gets one.. just take L-lysine pills. they really work.
and cold sores do not cause fevers etc... you get cold sores much more when you are run down and sick because the argentine levels in your body rise and the l-lysine levels lower due to your immune system working over drive.. take l-lysine when you feel a cold sore coming on and you wont get one.. do not kiss her and do not accept oral sex because cold sores are from the herpes virus and can be transmitted. that does not mean she got it from sex or kissing. ive had them all my life from when my mom kissed me with one.. as a baby... i am married and my husband gets them too. we work around it. and we take l-lysine when we get one... good luck.

It looks like a cold sore, but you can't really tell. Did it blister at onset? Cold sores always start out as tiny fluid filled blisters and usually hurt, tingle, or itch.

honestly that sounds just like how it started on walking dead... THE INFECTION IS COMING! better get ready to kill her when she turns to a zombie.

i think it might be, but not sure bad quality photo
