If you are circumcised can you get HIV?!

Question: If you are circumcised can you get HIV?
Since I am circumcised, that means I cannot get HIV right?
This is what is touted as the best reason for continuing this barbarism so that means I am ok for sex with HIV positive women and I won't get it?

And HPV too...even if I get HPV as long as I am circumcised I will not give it to my partner?

Didn't Jesus himself say that circumcision was no longer needed?

Answers:

Who the hell is spreading that criminally dangerous nonsense?

If that was taught in a biology class at school, I'd fully expect the teacher to do jail time.

Being circumcised lowers your chance of contracting the virus but it doesn't exempt you from it. Men always spread HPV to their partners whether they have foreskin or not and having sex with HIV positive women is a sure way to get HIV yourself. Use protection every time you have sex.

Anytime you have unprotected sex with someone who has HIV, you can get infected--whether you are circumcised or not. Circumcision does not prevent transmission of HIV or other STDs.

I do HIV education and testing.

No you can still get it. It affects everyone.
