How does when feel when you have a low function gallbladder ?!

Question:

How does when feel when you have a low function gallbladder ?

they found out i have a 8% function on my gallbladder and it needs to get removed. I feel all these strange symptoms, like burping, hiccups, flatulance, upper abdominal pain, back pain, heartburn, can all this be because of the low gallbladder function

ive been through an endoscopy found out i have a hiatel hernia
they did a ultrasound on gallbladder and it looked ok according to the doctors but when they did the HIDA scan dye check that when they saw it was low functioning

can you live without a gallbladder?

did blood work, everything was normal (liver, kidneys, pancreas, etc)

also they did an ekg it was normal..tired of these pains

Answers:

Most of those symptoms can be caused by gall bladder problems. Some, especially the heartburn is probably from the hiatal hernia. Yes, you can live without a gall bladder. Mine was removed due to stones 10 years ago.

BTW you can still eat fat. The liver produces bile which helps digest fat. It is normally stored in the gall bladder until you eat and then it is released to aid in digestion. If you don't have a gall bladder the bile is still produced, but drips constantly. Most people tell me they don't even notice they don't have a gall bladder. I can still eat fat, but if I eat large meals, it seems to take a long time to digest. My solution is to eat smaller, but more meals a day.
