Question: Scoliosis questions!? ?

My mom has it pretty bad to the point where her spine/rib cage pops out of her back (right side). My brother is getting it too. I noticed how bad his is getting today when he was leaning over the counter. Anyways, I just am worried I may get it as bad as they do. Around what age would it start showing?And what are the odds I may have it? My mom had 10 kids and only 1 has it so far. He's 20. My questions are..
What age would it show up? (I'm 17 and have a slight curve in my spine but 'nothing to worry about' said my doctor)
What are the odds I could have it?
Can it be fixed even if severe?

I think they have braces, but at your age, you are very unlikely to have any problems. I wonder if your brother needs some kind of brace?
