What do you think of this?!

Sometimes i notice in middle aged men how they have kinda red skin. my uncle for example who is 50 and spent years working in africa without sun lotion looks like he is constantly 'flushed' all the time. my grandmother as well who is 80 who is a smoker also developed that type of skin recently. is like red skin like a tomato

have you noticed this or not? how come middle aged people have this type of skin?
