What is a corneal warp?!
Question:
What is a corneal warp?
Seeing double images lead to a conclusion that the patient has the above condition. She is near sighted student.
What are the causes and how is this treated.
How imp. is it to see a specialist or does it go away with time.
Thanks.
Answers:
This sounds like keratoconus, which is not uncommon but has an unknown cause. Usually corrective lenses will help, depending on the progression of the disease. It doesn't "go away", but may only worsen to a certain point. In some cases, though, it could progress to a point where a corneal transplant might be necessary.
