Does ringworm cream expire?!

Question: Does ringworm cream expire?
I had ringworm a while back and was prescribed a medication for it called Econazole Nitrate Cream 1% on 11-30-10. It is now February 23 almost 2 months from then (exactly 60 days .... it think). Oh and I opened it the day i got it. I have ringworm again now in the same general area and it looks exactly the same as the last one. Is it safe to use it? Is it expired?

-P.S. my mom had asked the doctor if say, my sister got it, if she could use the same cream for her. The doctor said that would be fine.

PLEASE PLEASE RESPOND i would really appresiate so much any answers!!! Thanks! :)

Answers:

Look at the end of the tube. You will find a date, sometimes just month/year stamped on the tube crimp. That is the expiration date of the medication. The prescription (order for the medication) will generally expire 1 year after it was written, but the medication may expire sooner or much later. The cream is likely ok for a little while after exp. It's not like milk.

Mm... Hope this helps! http://gooods.info/111851/econazole-nitrate
