Question: Gettging a normal EMG result cancels out what illnesses?
I just had a neurologist do a full EMG test and told me nothing was abnormal. What conditions are ruled out by a normal EMG test. It was the full one I got electrocuted and jabbed with needles.
Answers:
Pinched nerves, herniated disk, muscular dystrophy, carpal tunnel syndrome,
ALS. These are a few reasons. It doesn't always completely rule out each
problem. It could suggest a problem, or the results may find these problems
unlikely. Other tests may be done.
