Does circulation improve if you quit smoking?!

Question: Does circulation improve if you quit smoking?
So I've been using tobacco for 20 years. Now that I'm older I notice that my hands and feet stay colder ie don't get enough blood. If I quit, will my circulatory system improve noticably or have I done irreparable damage to my veins?

Answers:

It is correct that nicotine increases heart rate, but more importantly, it also constricts the blood vessels, so overall circulation is reduced. Therefore the net result of stopping smoking is improved circulation as soon as you stop.
That being said, long-term smoking can cause permanent injury to blood vessels, so it's unlikely that your circulation will ever return to what it would have been had you never smoked. It will improve, however, and your risk of heart attack, stroke and cancer will decrease with time.

The very minute that you stop smoking your body starts the recovery process. Your heart and lungs work better, your sense of taste and smell improve, and eventually you can get rid of the yellow on your fingers and teeth.

My advice is quit today and never smoke again.

EVERYTHING improves after quiting smoking.
