Extremely dry, peeling skin on face please help!?!

Question: Extremely dry, peeling skin on face please help!?
Recently, I've noticed that whenever I wash my face, which I do day and night with cleansers and in the shower, it gets a extremely dry and flaky. It almost looks the way a sunburn does when you skin starts to peel. I've looked at online articles to see what to do and I've followed all of the steps. Nothing seems to work. I washed my face with bottled, cold water as it said to do, used my hands instead of a tough washcloth and I use a moisturizer. What can I do?

Answers:

Either you have eczema , or something you are washing with is irritating your face. You need to check ingredients and watch for "Salicylic Acid" or "Benzoyl Peroxide" as both can be VERY drying to the skin. You could be washing too much, too. Twice a day, morning and night is good. I see no reason to wash your face with bottled water, that's just preposterous. Check what you are washing your face with, and obviously it ain't working. Try something else. Creame cleansers will help with your dryness, and always moisturize. You should be able to use a washcloth on your skin without problems, as your skin does need exfoliation to get rid of those flaky cells. I hope I helped, good luck!

The same thing happens to me
i stopped using my face cleanser and started using soap
i also got a prescription from my doctor , its a moisturizer but its for my sensitive skin, and it doesn't dry my face out
you probably shouldn't use stuff with Salicylic Acid or Benzoyl Peroxide because it's for oily skin, and it sounds like you have dry skin

don't use cleansers, they may be the problem id recommend soap and then moisturiser straight afterwards use lukewarm water not cold.

Okay, it may be that your shampoo gets on your face or maybe your allergic to your shampoo? Just a thought.
