Is it alright to drink tea when you have a fever?!

Question: Is it alright to drink tea when you have a fever?
I mean your temperature's higher, right? So shouldn't drinking the hot liquid keep your temperature constant/increase it, and so should be avoided when you have a fever? Silly question, I know, but I managed to overthink it and confuse myself. :P

They tell you to take a cold shower when you have a fever to lower your temperature..or so people have been telling me to all my life. o.o
So that means you should stay away from anything potentially warming, right? Unless my Chemistry's messed up and tea actually cools you down in some way, though I always feel like it warms me up.

Ahhhh, someone help me. :/ xxx

I don't think it will be an issue, but it could raise your body temperature. But I doubt it would raise it significantly. If you notice it goes up after drinking it, try drinking something cool Just relax, drink some and feel better soon!

If you want tea, have it. It won't affect your fever. It's also good, though, to drink water and juice, as regular tea is a diuretic. Feel better soon!

gator ade is also good for a fever. it contains electrolytes that are lost when you are sick. i did this when i was feverish. it helped.

When I have a fever I just have a warm bath, rest and eat soup. That will heal you fast.

Well, does it sound appatizing? Only you know what your tummy can handle..(:
