My boyfriend wants to have babies with lesbians?

I think I am OK with this. I don't want babies but love children. We are in our early 30's. The person inolved is a very close workmate who has put forward this proposal. My initial reaction was positive, his is reticent but also positive. He feels paternal though. He has an 11 year old son he doesn't see much of. I don't feel this this would threaten our relationship but I don't know....

Its definitely an issue that has some positives and negatives. I'm of the opinion that this would be a great gift to two ladies who want to be parents but cannot be together. That being said, if he does go through with it I really think all four of you need to make up a contract of some sort that determines what if any role he and you play in the child's life. You say you have no intention of having children but do you maybe want to have some involvement with this child seeing as you love kids? Maybe an aunt role or something.

If you are secure if your relationship, can work out the small details and discuss all issues together I really can't see a reason for him not to be a donor. I'd also recommend googling some websites, maybe talking to a lawyer and even chatting with some males and females who have been involved in similar situations. Also, put your self in his shoes for a little bit, if you were the one asked to donate an egg for example, what would you do?
