Is it to late to get treated?!

Question: Is it to late to get treated?
Someone I know found out they had chlamydia 10 months ago and they just now decided to go back to the doctor to get treated for it. Is it too late for them? They found out 10 months ago but they believe they had it longer.

Answers:

Women are frequently re-infected if their sex partners are not treated. If untreated, chlamydial infections can progress to serious reproductive and other health problems with both short-term and long-term consequences. Like the disease itself, the damage that chlamydia causes is often "silent." Also Chlamydia can impact a woman’s ability to have children if left untreated.

Also Because there are many different STDs, there are many possible signs that you may have caught one. Sometimes there are no signs at all. If you are sexually active, it is sensible to have a check-up for STDs every so often, just in case.
