Is the hepatitis C virus transferable through sperm?!

Question:

Is the hepatitis C virus transferable through sperm?

Answers:

Once AGAIN I am appauled by the answers given. Folks, if you DO NOT know the answer or can give accurate information, PLEASE DO NOT ANSWER!

HCV corpuscles found in semen, vaginal fluid, mucus, tears, saliva and breast milk are NON TRANSFERRABLE! They are only parts of the virus or dead inactive virons.

Since HCV is only contagious through blood to blood cross contamination, it will NOT occur under any type of normal circumstance and that includes SEX.

There are over 5 million hcv infected today. Those that acquired HCV through sex HAD TO OF BEEN EXPOSED THROUGH CONTAMINATED BLOOD THAT ENTERED THEIR BLOODSTREAM.

NO BLOOD to BLOODSTREAM, NO HCV INFECTION!
PERIOD!

For those that have multiple sex partners the risk is only higher simply because they have a higher chance resulting in STD's that will leave open sores, which is a window opportunity for infection if blood from the infected enters.

A person has a higher risk of contracting HCV through household exposures, ie, sharing toothbrush, razor or cutting themselves on anything sharp that had previously been contaminated by the infected person.

Those in monogomous relationships have virtually no risk for infection. (.06% but this also might be accountable due to household exposure).

I have had HCV longer than I have been having sex. NO ONE has gotten HCV from me and my kids who were born years later after infection took place do not have hcv either.

AGAIN!
HCV IS BLOOD TO BLOOD ONLY.
Without there is NO INFECTION.

****THE CDC DOES NOT EXPLAIN HCV INFECTION and IT'S POSSIBLE TRANSMISSIONS THOUROUGH ENOUGH, WITHOUT CROSS CONTAMINATION OF BlOOD, NO HCV CAN TRANSMIT!*****
