Question: Itching, discharge and irritation in feminine area? Yeast infection?
About a month ago I used Summer's Eve feminine powder. I only put in outside of my underwear and instantly I started having itching and discomfort. The thing is now I'm having discharge and itching and it has a slight smell. What can this be? I haven't used the feminine powder in almost a month and I don't bathe my area with anything but Ivory soap and sensitive skin feminine wash unscented. I am sexually active with my mate of over 9 years.

Sounds like you have either a yeast infection or vaginosis. Just go to the doc, he'll diagnose you, and you'll be feeling better in no time! Feel better! :)

Sounds like you might have bacterial vaginosis. It can be caused by using perfumed soap, bath oils or powders, or by having sex with a different partner. The perfume upsets the natural balance of the vagina as can having sex with someone new. Symptoms include itching, discharge and smell. You can treat it by taking antibiotics, using antibiotic cream or an over the counter preparation.

If its itching and burning and it smells it sounds like a yeast infection....very normal!
