What causes little bumps on my legs from shaving and how can I get rid of them?!

Question:

What causes little bumps on my legs from shaving and how can I get rid of them?

Answers:

These little bumps are better known as "ingrown hair". This is caused because shaving only cuts the hair exposed at the surface of your skin and does not pull the hair out of the gland so bacteria will be deposited into the many open follicles. The only way to avoid this is to exfoliate your legs right after you shave and apply moisturiser. I recommend you wax because it has plenty more advantages over shaving. Hair generally takes 4 weeks to regrow compared to shaving which needs 2-3days, hair will also gradually become lighter the longer you wax. Waxing also removes dead skin cells leaving the surface of your skin incredibly smooth and shiny.
Hope this helps
