Removing a sliver with the family scissors ?
I wasn't thinking and I used the family scissors to remove a sliver there may have been very tiny blood on those scissors but no one in my family has hiv is there any health risk if I contracted the blood into my open wound?

You should have used some sterilized tweezers. If you feel more comfortable about it soak the scissors in some hot bleach water.
