Answers:

Seroquel is an antidepressant and antipsychotic used to treat those patients with bipolar disorder with depressive episodes. Under the generic name of quetiapine fumarate, it treats schizophrenia and major depressive disorder. Health-care providers should closely monitor patients taking Seroquel who have diabetes or those who are obese, have a family history of diabetes or other risk factors. The manufacturer, AstraZeneca, advises that at-risk patients should have a fasting blood sugar test before starting a regimen of Seroquel treatment and at set intervals during treatment.

You need to let your doctor know of your symptoms as your medication might be causing your problems. You could be spiking and crashing on your blood sugar levels this could be causing the dizziness. Has your doctor checked your blood sugar levels? Your drinking alot of sugary drinks can be causing alot of your symptoms as well as the meds. High blood sugars will cause you to urinate as your body is ridding itself of the excess sugars.

Check with your doctor and get glucose testing as well as checking the meds you are on and how these are interacting with your glucose and eating patterns. Nausea another one of your symptoms can indicate that your blood sugar levels are not stable and also signal that you need to change your meal planning, perhaps less carbs and eating smaller meals throughout the day. Have you spoken to your doctor of your sugar cravings? This too can be a symptom of glucose impairment and also your meds as anti-depressants such as Seroquel can cause sugar cravings. Again, get an overall physical test from your doctor to see what is causing your symptoms as this is problematic for someone your age. Meeting with a dietician can also help you set up nutrition and help with balancing out your meds and meals. This needs to be addressed and treated your seeking advice is the first step.

Hope this helps.
