Hi there :)

If food is always getting stuck in your throat then maybe you are not chewing your food properly. Do not swallow the food too fast. Take your time and chew the food until you feel it is ready to swallow.

However, there are people with smaller throats than others. When you go to see your doctor next time, ask him to look at your throat and tell you if he thinks your throat is smaller than average. It is not a big problem. A lot of people are like this. Sort of us like how god created us, white or black, short or tall, big throat or small throat.

Wether you have a small throat or not, there are certain foods you should not eat often, especially you because you always get choked. Here is a list of those "hazardous food:"
hot dogs
nuts and seeds
chunks of meat or cheese
whole grapes
hard, gooey, or sticky candy
popcorn
chunks of peanut butter
raw vegetables
raisins
chewing gum.

The last thing I want to say is the most important of all. When you visit your doctor (or if you have a nurse at school) ask them to teach you how to do the heimlich maneuver on yourself and how to do it to others. The heimlich maneuver is the best thing you can do to someone if they are choking to help them. So, when you learn it, go back home and teach it to your mother and sister so that they will be able to help you and help other kids if they choke.

Maybe you will save someone's life someday and become a hero :)

Good luck
