Which cancer is worse!?!

Question: Which cancer is worse!?
non- hodgekins or hodgekins
I want to know bcuz my dad has non-hodgekins lymphoma

Answers:

Overly simplistic question Becky
There are more than a thirty types of NHL (non-Hodgkins lymphoma).
Hodgkins lymphoma is just another type of Lymphoma.
There is no way to make a comparison like this.
It depends on the stage of the Hodgkins lymphoma - - and - -
it depends on the type + stage of the non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.

Here is an overly simplistic general answer
from http://www.emedicinehealth.com/lymphoma/…
"Lymphoma Prognosis
The outlook for HL (Hodgkins lymphoma) is very good. It is one of the most curable cancers. The five-year survival rate after treatment is greater than 80% for adults and greater than 90% for children. [ But that varies greatly depending on stage and other risk factors.]
As a result of refinements in and more aggressive approaches to therapy, the outlook for NHL has improved significantly in the last few decades. The five-year survival rate after treatment is 63% for adults and up to 90% for children. The addition of immunotherapy to standard treatment for NHLs may further improve survival rates.
Many people live with lymphoma in remission for many years after treatment.

honestly no cancer is worse than the other, however from doing research I found that non-hodkins lymphoma has the highest success rate with treatment even in it's later stages, and usually responds well to chemo. my dad has cancer so Ive been investigating all these XD
I pray for your dad and his healthy recovery.

I don't think that really matters. But I've had Hodgkin's lymphoma and I survived it! I was 10 when I got it but now Im pretty much alright. If you ask me all cancers are as bad as each other, exept cancers were you have to amputate. ( I'm sure this isn't the case with your dad). I wish your dad best regards and good health! xxxoo

i really do not think one cancer is better than another
