What can I do with my extreme cases of acne?!

Question:

What can I do with my extreme cases of acne?

When I mean extreme, I mean to the point of no going back. I have acne on my forehead, behind my lip and nose, lip and chin, eyebrows, corners of my ears, my face! Not only do I have active acne, pimples, zits, I have scars from pass mistakes. I've been told it's a puberty thing, but I've had this face sense 2nd grade. I've tried the proactive, the ambi, the clearsil, everything on/off the shelf. My diet has changed radically to the point of just apples and water. I exercise on a regular. I would be considered an overall healthy person, except my face! A dermatologist is not an option within my power right now. My face is hurting, please, any advice to calm the acne down or even get rid of it! I'm tired of the acne and scars, HELP!

PS Googled, and the first 50 pages, nothing.

I totally understand you - I was there. Now, if your acne is that severe, you will probably need to see a dermatologist sometime, when you can. He or she might prescribe you Accutane - a serious acne drug. It has lots of side effects - look it up on line. I didn't take it, though, and I can recommend you what I did to cure my acne - I mean it, cure.
First of all, with such severe acne as it sounds, ANY doctor can prescribe you oral or topical antibiotics for acne. There is this cream (prescription) called Benzomicin. It has antibiotic and Benzoyl Peroxide. You might need it AND oral antibiotics. Also, there are Clindomicin pads - also by prescription. All of the above - except for Accutane can be prescribed by any doctor - family doctor or even college nurse practitioner. If you don't have insurance, go to any internal doctor, and you will only pay 30 or 50$. And you will have to pay for your medication - without insurance about the same. Also, same doctor can prescribe you Retin A. This is same as Accutane, but in topical gel form, so any doctor can prescribe you that. All you have to do is to ask for that prescription - even if your doctor doesn't know of these drugs, since he might not have acne patients. But that doesn't matter...
Now, if you can't afford to go to a doctor. First, don't starve yourself. Acne is not caused by food. Eat balanced diet, rich in whole grains and fruit and raw veggies. Especially carrots! Vitamin A is great for acne skin! Carrots as much as you can eat!
Wash your face with Neutrogena Acne Wash Daily Scrub. It is the best face wash of all - including dep. store and prof. brands. Follow with plant based clarifying toner from Dr. Hauschka. It is truly great a product - I am using it. The key is not to be too harsh on your face, or it will produce far mor oil, causinc even more breakouts. So, one strong face wash is enough - no more harsh products! Now, treat your breakouts (and try to catch them in the beginning stage) with pure Tea Tree Oil. Trust me, it works better than any acne gel or cream. It is a plant antibiotic. Apply it with a Q-tip. Moisturize your face every time after cleansing and toner. I love Clarins Rebalancing Miosturizing Fluid for Oily skin. For all over acne treatment, I used Jan Marini Bioglycolic Bioclear Lotion. It literally saved my skin! Buy it, if you can afford it - it's $55 at www. dermstore.com. If not, there is PCA Phaze 35 for $20 at the same place. They both contain a special active - Azelaic Acid, that treats acne like antibiotic. So, the regimen is: Wash - toner - treat all over- moisturize - treat spots with Tea Tree Oil. That for sure will make your skin so much better, or even treat it completely - like in my case. Oh, almost forgot. Take Zink Supplement twice a day with food. It reduces oil production and speeds up healing. Good luck. E-mail me if you have more questions, I will be glad to help, since, as I said, I was there.
