Allergic reaction?

I use a home-made tanning oil....baby oil and a few drops of iodine. I dont use it very often, but when I do, my skin breaks out like posion ivy....just in places like my knees, or where my arms bend...at the elbow and shoulder...and both sides of these places break out. I have only used it three times this year, and I am itching like crazy. When I use it, I wash off after I am done tanning, but a few hours later, I am itching like crazy. Allergic reaction? They used iodine on me when I got the epidural when I had my baby and I believe they used it down there during the delivery too and I had nothing like this happen. How can I help relieve the itching...I can't take pills, because I breast feed...so HELP

I am not pregnant now. I do however breastfeed my son...its not taht I dont trust people on here, I just dont like to take any meds while I breastfeed.

People have different levels of allergies to Iodine. Iodine is a very common allergy. You are most likely allergic to Iodine.
