Is it possible to get cancer in your tears?!

Question: Is it possible to get cancer in your tears?
eyes are teary and both have a red rash all round them ,Doctors do not know what the horrible red rash is ,it looks like excema, tried eye drops and steroid eye drops, ointments, antibiotic tablets for 3 months and still the rash wont go away

Answers:

Keep seeing your doctor until they find the problem.
Cancer does not appear as a rash and even if it did to have it occur bilaterally on or near the eyes is so exceedingly rare your case would be in a medical journal.

I am a cancer registrar.

One can get skin cancer around the eyes. It is possible, though unlikely, to get cancer in the tear ducts themselves. One cannot, however, get cancer in the 'tears'; that's just water and a few impurities, and they go through your tear ducts.

you might want to go and see another doctor.

As you don't specify what doctor you are seeing you should ask for a referral to a dermatologist and an eye doctor to start with, and if you are seeing one of these, then ask for a referral to another doctor, to see if he/she might know

No. But it IS possible to get cancer in your TEAR GLANDS.

But cancers usually show up as some sort of cyst or bump. cancer of the tear glands would seem to be very localized, not in the whole eye.

Are you on any medicine? I've seen this symptom as an allergic reaction to a prescribed cream someone was using, but I don't recall what it was.
