I think i might have lung cancer?

i think i might have lung cancer..i had a flu and nowi'm ok but i still have non-stop coughing for the pass 6 weeks..my lungs does not hurt when i talk or breathe..but my upper breast hurts sometimes...im 16 years old..and i don't smoke..im scare that i might get lung cancer..if so..do i have to go for surgery or remove it??..or just take medicine??...

I worked for a medical practice for many yrs. When people cough a lot for periods of time, their chest MUSCLES hurt. Sometimes these types of infections need to be treated a couple of times before they finally go away. I would phone my physician office for advice. I seriously doubt you have lung cancer. I should know, I DO have cancer and you do not sound like me at all. Relax for tonight, try sleeping with your head propped up a little, and have a glass of water by your bedside for use during coughing fits. Ring the Dr in the a.m.
