For women chemo patients past & present?!

Question: For women chemo patients past & present?
My oncologist said I would go through a temporary physical menopause. She didn't say whether I would have an emotional one, but did anybody go a little crazy while on Chemo? Cranky, snappy, etc.

Answers:

The hormones your ovaries make are important to normal body and brain functioning. So if your ovaries stop working, then yeah, you may have a lot of feelings of crankiness, frustration, fatigue, etc.

Well I think I was rather good emotionally considering what I was going through, however my husband would tell you different! It is a crazy time and those drugs do crazy things to you. I think my bad moments were probably not connected to treatment but the treatment made me care less about my reactions to it, I didn't suffer fools lightly and just wanted to be left alone when I needed it.

i was lucky my emotions were ok. what i hated was the hot flashes! and this was winter- i would be sitting at home in a t-shirt because i was so hot or running to the freezer for ice.

good luck to you wishing you the best in the treatment and hope everything works out!!
