Question: Im 15 years old and I have only smoked 3 times in my life; I am scared about having lung cancer?
A few days ago I smoked weed for the first time and since them I have been scared of lung cancer, it may just be in my head but I play basketball now and I have symptoms that I have "looked up online" such as; little pain in shoulders, a headache, shortness of breath sometimes. Some one please help I am nervous and have been freaking abut about health issues for about 11 months now; should I be worried?

Answers:

You can get all of those symptoms and have them be totally un-related to cancer. 3 times in your life does NOT Cause Lunger Cancer. Stop diagnosing yourself over the internet. Yes. It is all in your head.

You can't get cancer from three cigarettes, people smoke dozens a day and still take a while to develop it, what you have could be the short term effects, or just your imagination. BUT if you continue to smoke, you increase your chances not only with lung cancer but other cancers as well. About 90% of lung cancer deaths are smoking related, and about 75% of the heart attacks that happen in people of under the age of 45 are of smokers, and I read in a paper when doing a research for a big project, that each cigarette shortens your life by 11 minutes.
Take that in account before getting addicted to smoking, you don't want to be responsible for your own death

It is extremely unlikely that you have cancer and if you do it's not from the marijuana.

Although stop the ****, it's not cool. Just because your social group does it and they WILL make up some **** such as "it's good for you" and "it cures cancer" It cures cancer, even if that were right do you have cancer? No. The money isn't worth it.

If you stop smoking ASP,your risk will be same as of normal person of your age in life time.
Stop this cancer phobia as presently you do not have lung cancer.

You obviously wont have lung cancer now.

But the FIRST time you smoke starts paving the way for cancer.

I suggest you stop now before its too late and youre addicted.
