How do YOU battle insomnia?!

How do YOU battle insomnia?
I go through fits of insomnia: at times, over-the-counter sleep medication can help, but often enough it doesn't. I'll ache with tiredness, but still be unable to fall asleep. How do you battle insomnia?
Answers:
i dont think i have insomnia, but sometimes i get HORRIBLE sleeping habits, now that its summertime, and these are some things i do
*Read a book in a lower set of light (bad for the eyes but whatever it helps a lot)
*watch a boring movie, or one i watch all the time then i BORE myself to sleep
*invite my sibling to come talk me to sleep
*Take out paper and draw( idk me and my friends have discussed it, and it works, i think the mental work of thinking of what to draw works on your body too)
*Listen to music
*take a warm bath or shower before
*Sex or masturbation might make you tired (hey if your into that kinda stuff)
*spoon with a pillow (AKA make yourself as comfortable as possible, it really should help)
