3 years ago i was diagnosed with lupus?
after a tubal pregancy i stopped going to the drs too scared yea i know! my arthritis and fatigue has gotten so bad most days i cannot function without crying so i went back to a new doctor and she did the blood work and said i do not have lupus. i have all the signs of lupus. i feel comfortable with this dr but she did not say anything about what it could be just the blood work did not show lupus please help i dont know what to do i cannot work i can barely function in everyday things

1. Karen Kremer Smith is up a tree. Sun is very very very dangerous for lupus patients! And how dare she judge how you did or did not care for yourself during pregnancy. Any of the lupus clotting factors can cause a pregnancy to end. A lot that troll knows!No wonder she does not take emails.
2. There is NO definitive blood test for lupus. Atlhouth about 95% of lupus patients will have a positive ANA (antinuclear antibody) test at SOME POINT in the disease, not all lupus paients have it, the test results change depending on disease activity and other things can cause a positive ANA.
3. A diagnosis of lupus is made if you hvae 4 of 11 criteria set out by the American College of Rheumatology AND other disorders that mimic lupus have been eliminated.
4. Change doctors. You need a rheumatologist experience in lupus.
