Question: My sister is crazy scared of needles?

everytime she hears the word needle (even 4 sewing lol) she starts crying and screaming. When she gets hurt she never cries, but when she thinks of needles its just chaos. now, she got a nail in her foot by accident (she didnt cry!!!) and now her foot is infected. she has to get a TETANUS SHOT INSIDE!!!! ive had it and it hurts like crazy!!! and i was 10. SHES 5!!!!! Help me how do i tell her!!! if i tell her early she kinda calms down a bit before the needle. but if im honest and tell her it will hurt she will go crazy and if i lie and tell her its just a pinch then she will cry even MORE cuz she wont expect it and never trust me again. My parents tried alot of things but they cant think of one either. HELP MEEEE!!! Dont say just let your parents figure this out cuz Everyone was asked to think of a solution!!!!! HELP

I have always been the same way. There really isn't anyway to stop her fear. She has to get shots sometimes, just do it and get it over with. No long speech, no rewards, no it's not gonna hurt. It just has to be done. This is the only thing that even came close to helping me was the fact that I knew I had no choice, that it is for my own good. The worst thing anyone could ever do it LIE! Never say.......it's not gonna hurt.
And you already know tetanus shots can be the worst. There are some shots like the flu shot that barely hurts, then she will at least trust you! Trust is a huge deal to anyone and to a child it is everything. She doesn't need to know it's going to hurt, just don't say it's not going to. Try to talk about something else, hold her hand, just be strong for her.

I am a grown woman, I still hate needles, when I had my first child........OH MY! haha

calm down she will survive...tell her it doesn't hurt, because if it is given by a good needle giver then it shouldn't hurt very much. If you are calm then she will be calm.
