My friend has been diagnosed with Bolimia, I don't think this is the first time she's had it... anyway, doctor proscribed Prozac- is that the best solution?

Proper name fro the disorder is BULIMIA (eating like a Bull)...regurgitating and eating again..
Tha newest approach are made in three separate manners:
1.- Cognitive psychotherapy, which is directed towards pointing the wrong mechanisms of thought and "acting out" of people prone, or suffering from, bulmia.
2,.- Pharmacological support (depending on the compliance of the patient, somtimes very hard to assess), by means of fluoxetine derivatives and other antodepressants (venlaflaxine, Bupropion) or a proper combination of those,,,)
3.- The third is used when everything else fails, and is hospitalization, with strict control of what the patient eats, drinks etc, with careful monitoring of the patients weight......
