As far as I know, there is no cure for nerve damage, a complication of diabetes. I have been a type 1 diabetic for 35 years. I've had problems with neuropathy in my legs (a burning and tingling sensation) and sometimes the same sensation in my right arm. My neurologist prescribed an anti-depressant drug that helps to ease the symptoms. As long as I keep my blood sugar in good control and take the medication, I don't experience the symptoms. Hopefully, in the near future, there will be a cure for diabetes and with that a cure for neuropathy.
