Question: Is mono HIGHLY contagious?

I had a talk with someone who thought it was, but my brother had it and the doctor said only if you swap saliva, and maybe at that case it's really easy if you drink after someone, but only through saliva.

you can get it from sneezing, coughing, kissing, swapping drinks, using someones utensils. its not as contagious as the common cold but you can be contagious for months maybe years.

This is correct, mono can be transmitted by saliva or if someone coughs or sneezes nearby you...I wouldn't drink after or kiss someone that has it
