Answers:

Do NOT have sex again until he has successfully completed his medications. Azithomycin and doxycycline work pretty much the same, but because of your pregnancy you have to be careful what you take. Your doctor prescribed a medication that will take care of the chlamydia without harming the baby. But because your boyfriend is not pregnant he doesn't have to worry about that and can take a stronger medication. Both medications are acceptable treatments for chlamydia.

If he doesn't take his medication as directed, it won't kill the chlamydia and he'll still be infected. If you have sex while he's still infected, then you could get it again.

If you deliver the baby vaginally while you have chlamydia you risk the following complications for the baby:
~premature delivery
~early infant pneumonia
~pink eye (conjunctivitis)
~various respiratory and eye infections

If your boyfriend doesn't take his medication as directed, he's not being a good father and he's jeopardizing the health of you and your baby.

Once the two of you have received clean bills of health from your doctors you should be able to resume normal sexual activity.

(And I have to climb up on my soapbox here...) To assure a strong and healthy home for your baby, the two of you need to get married and stay married. Then neither of you will ever have to worry about chlamydia again.
