Question: IS THIS IMPETIGO - 10 PTS!!!!!!!!?

I have eczema on my hands from washing them too much (OCD) although it gets on other areas of my body also. I have gotten impetigo numerous times on different areas of my body. Just like a week ago, I have redness all over my neck that was spreading to my chin. I had staph bacteria and he prescribed me an antibiotic. I took it, but a couple times I woke up late and was advised by the pharmacist not to double dose it. So I guess I'm going to have to make those up at the end. But now my hands look really bad. They have yellow/brownish scabs on them along with redness. The redness is spreading up my wrist now. Is this impetigo again? Should I be concerned? Am I going to get rid of this crap?

It does sound like impetigo. I would ask for a referral to a specialist, you are getting it much too often, there must be a reason. Now this is spread from other people, do you have room mates? Are you using some one Else's wash cloth or towel? You know when my daughters were in grade school, I would go from room to room wiping the door knobs off with clorox. If you are taking public transportation and holding on the a pole, you need to wash your hand as soon as you get home. The hand washing in itself may be contributing to you getting the impetigo. You may be causing the hands to roughen, and it loves to get in the tiniest scrape. Try using a good hand lotion after washing the hands. when I go out I use my sweater tail to open any doors that are not automatic, may look a little quirky, but I don't get colds.

Me, I have a little OCD also, but better safe than sorry.

Yellow/brown scabs?.Sounds like impetigo and since you didn't complete the round of antibiotics ..you could become resistant to the antibiotic..Ask your doctor to prescribe a cream called Bactroban..You need to use this when the scabs come off so it can penetrate into your skin..Impetigo isn't life threatening but it is very contagious..Keep the areas clean and dry and be sure to go back to doctor..I know this is worrying you and the cream,Bactroban, will help you..

hhmmmmm do u put on lotion after u wash ur hands? redness spreading to the neck and chin?? i dont realy know what to say i would just bother my docter until he gave me something beter that works

i have exzima but on my legs and arms but i just each get huge scabs they bleed if i stop itching the heal then they leave a huge dark brown spot):
