Bowel Problems - 10 pts best answer (Very anxious)?!

Question: Bowel Problems - 10 pts best answer (Very anxious)?
Hey all

Going to try keep this short. Ive been having alot of bowel problems which I will list: Constipation (alot of the time)
bloated stomach, alot of gas (foul smelling), wet trumps (twice a small bit of bright red blood was on the tissue when I wiped it, I also had a tiny bit of diarrhea which had a bit of darker blood about a week ago, this happened once and then I went back to being constipated.) and today I had a black bowel movement which was in small hard balls. All these symptoms have occured during the past 3 weeks.

I should also mention I am a 20 year old healthy male, I eat healthily and I don't take any tablets that could cause any of the above symptoms.

Just wondering if anyone knows what this could be, I cant see a doctor until Monday at the earliest.

Answers:

You possibly have irritable bowel disease which can be corrected by cutting out the foods you find cause most symptoms.
However in view of the blood you MUST see a doctor and get it checked out.
Monday will be Ok since you have had this for 3 weeks.
It can't possibly not have gone through your mind that you could have something nasty like cancer.
It doesn't sound likely from the symptoms you list but as I said you really must get checked out.
Rectal bleeding is not a good sign.

You shouldn't worry about the bright red blood, because this comes with constipation. The dark black color is a little bit to be concern about . You are having some kind of problem inside your digestive system causing this .You are losing blood from some where.Maybe a blockage.LPN
