Question: I have a serious question about a treatment, Please help me?

My doctor put me on a Dosepak of Methylprednisolone 4mg Tablets for 6 days (for bronchitis). I've read it makes you gain weight and swell up too. Is this true? Will I gain weight for taking the treatment for 6 days on 4mg? I'm trying to loose weight because I'm already overweight...If maybe I gain weight, about how many pounds am I going to gain?...

Taking it for 6 days won't cause you to gain weight. Steroids can cause weight gain when used for long term conditions, (think 6 months+), but that is very unlikely to occur when used short term,
