Cancer scare?!
Question:
Cancer scare?
I may have cancer.
I won't know for sure for almost two more weeks.
Everyone is telling me "there's no reason to be upset unless you know for sure."
Personally? I'm freaking out and would rather know, at this point.
I'm really scared.
Am I being ridiculous?

No. This is real. You have every right to be scared. I hope that it all turns out well for you.
This is how it feels almost every single day for a cancer patient and their families. But you learn to live with the fear . . well, except when it is time for a CT or other diagnostic. I know you do not think it is possible to live with so much fear . . but I it is. Do try to take your mind off from waiting. Stay very, very busy. Tuck the fear away for today and concentrate instead on every positive thought you can have. One positive thought is that today . . right at this moment . . as far as you know . . you are fine and you don't have cancer. Concentrate on that. Live in the moment.
