My acne is caused by a bacteria?!

Question:

My acne is caused by a bacteria?

I have recurrent acne on my chin and the back of my head, it comes for 2 or 3 weeks then disappears and 2 months later it comes back and always after I shave. My dermatologist keeps telling me it is a bacteria and my treatment should at least 7 months long, Is this bacteria theory possible? anyone is having the same condition?

I adressed the fact that it happens after shape, because I think when the skin it's irritated and sensitive after it that it's when all the acne comes again, but I guess the bateria it's always there... altough, yes probably the bacteria was on one of the blades in the first place

Answers:

Bacteria and sebum are only the last parts in the acne puzzle. If acne would be caused by bacteria then it would be contagious, which is not. Also everybody has p.acnes bacteria on their skin. Thirdly practically all the currently available treatments focus on bacteria and sebum.

And we all know how effective they are.

They have been around for few decades now. New ones are popping up almost daily. And still the number of people with acne is increasing.

I think we can safely declare that approach as tried, tested and failed.

To get to the real source you have to ask yourself why my skin is producing too much sebum and why my immune system can't keep p.acnes bacteria in check.

Once you do that you'll start to see things in a different light. You'll also see why nothing has ever worked for you before.
