Question: Boyfriend had cold sore?
Hi so my boyfriend and I are hanging out with a bunch of friends tonight, and obviously there will be some kissing between us. He informed me that he has a cold sore and is wondering if we should refrain from kissing. I'm wondering the same thing. I'm pretty sure I've had a cold sore before, and I know they're not that big of a deal unless they're frequent.

cold sores are VERY contagious. they are also painful, so i wouldn't want one. i would refrain from kissing him.
cold sores are caused by the herpes virus. you have to be careful not to touch it.. it could spread to your eyes and/or genitals.
