Is it true that if you lose your big toe, you'll never walk again?!

Question: Is it true that if you lose your big toe, you'll never walk again?
I have a friend who believes that once you have a big toe amputated or cut off, you'll never walk again or you will be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of your life. Is this true? Are you stabilized and balanced by your big toes alone?

Answers:

That is so not true. I know someone who shot off their big toe and they have no problems walking. Also I am a nurse and have seen people with less toes than that and walk normal you would never know the difference.

Myself

no you can walk, but with a cane
the big toes are there to balance you
just like the tail of a cat or dog

No thats not true, your big toe just helps u balance. You can still walk

no u dont really need any toes at all to walk
