We are off to cuba in 3 weeks time, are you meant to pay for vaccinations?!

Question:

We are off to cuba in 3 weeks time, are you meant to pay for vaccinations?

i live in the uk and had my typhoid and hepatitis A vaccination the other day. my friend is going for hers next week but the receptionist on the phone said she didn't know if my friend would have to pay. i didn't have to pay and am assuming my friend won't need to either. does anybody know if they're meant to charge you?

Answers:

Generally vaccinations purely for holidays abroad are no longer covered by the NHS so it is usual now for you to be asked to pay.
