Question: How can I get my dad to stop snoring?

My dad began to snore four years ago and now it's getting ridiculous. I can hear him and I have my parent's bedroom door closed AND mine. I've been resorted to banging the walls and yelling at him to stop, which makes my mother very unhappy (not the point...). My mom's been sleeping in the basement and guess what? Sometimes she still hears him. He's a nightmare to be in a hotel room at night because your not going to get any sleep and the next morning, you'll be very very cranky believe me. I'm a very light sleeper so can you imagine? What can we do to make him stop, I've reached my limit and the Breathe Right didn't work?

If it's that severe and had a sudden onset maybe he should be looking into having sleep apnea. I have relatives who snore, although not that severely, but I started using ear plugs and it helped me.

well you can get nasle straps from the chemist for him. they ease the breathing at night at reduce the snoring. eventually he will stop with these nasal straps. i suggest you get some from a local pharmacy or doctor.

make sure he sleeps with his mouth close.
my dad snores too. it's really annoying
