Can genital herpes be passed down to children?!
Question:
Can genital herpes be passed down to children?
Just like aids is passed down to children, is the same true with genital herpes? And if the answer is yes, then isnt it inevitable that everyone will eventually be diagnosed with genital herpes, since about 1/3 of the population today already has it?
Answers:
women can pass herpes to their children in the process of birth, unless they have a Cesarean section, it which case the child will not contract the disease. It requires contact with the active lesion, in the womb the placenta protects the fetus from infection and so with a c section they don't get infected.
